We do what is needed to keep law and order across the lands of the alliance

Think they are better than everyone, not realistic, not supportive of those who must lead

Don’t trust anyone, so why trust them? Unclear when support or work against

Useful mercenaries for hire when needed, but costs high and always grabbing own power

Put the power of the city lords above the well-being of the people and creatures of the lands

We punish and stand against Evil in all forms and defend those who are Good

Allies in the cause, but can do more harm than good with their aggression and self-empowering

Absent morals/ethics, power, glory, money by any means. Thieves, spies, assassins.

A stabilizing force, but acting first in the interests of the dictators and despots

Have the right goals, but believe they can just wait around and respond to threats

We are the first & last line of defense vs. those who seek to destroy our world

Their own interests come first, and their goals are corrupt. Darkhold well-named.

Keep them afraid and short-handed so they must keep us legit and well-paid by their lords

Deluded holy fanatics with goals based on a soft world of sunshine and rainbows

Rivals if not enemies, do not even try to provide a message or service in the open

There must always be a top power, we have the focus and means to be that

Views on Others

  • Lords Alliance: We shall explore an alliance. They seek stability, as do we in our studies. They are a sensible path to expansion.
  • Order of the Gauntlet: Stubbornly strict in confining learning and acting where so much is to be gained - truly an irritating obstacle.
  • Harpers: Hypocritical in preventing all others from doing what they do at their core. We could be them. They could be us. But our advantage is we do not need to pretend to be the world's protectors.
  • Zhentarim: Necessarily a business partner in many things, but we know they constantly seek to gain control of our order.
  • Emerald Enclave: Often in the way, the wilds and their mysteries are such a great source of learning.
  • Red Wizards: Over and over they are our rivals in so many places and topics of study. They seek to steal and control us, but we are watchful.

How Others View the Arcane Brotherhood

  • Lords Alliance: The alliance would greatly benefit from Luskan joining - the recent interest in improving relations is a sign of hope. But we will not forget these are people with centuries of piracy and conquest in their blood.
  • Order of the Gauntlet: Even though the current order shows a less threatening face, for most of their history, these wizards have been led by ambitious power-seeking undead.
  • Harpers: Their worst leaders have caused tremendous destruction and their resistance to being eradicated makes them an ongoing threat. We must admit their schooling has produced skilled wielders of magic - and occasionally helpful allies, but they remain far from trustworthy.
  • Zhentarim: This tiny mote of power shall be ours in time - they underestimate our own capabilities and we persistently, constantly, patiently continue to infiltrate their order.
  • Emerald Enclave: We need look at nothing other than the monstrous Host Tower to see through anything else they may say or do. They are a corruption of the world, and offer us very little in cooperation.
  • Red Wizards: d

Views on Others

  • Lords Alliance: Seek to grow their cities' power and populations - this grows into the wilds around them as they take resources, pollute the waters and lands and air. They offer peace, but their violence comes through a million small careless acts.
  • Order of the Gauntlet: They seek to be noble, but they act upon ideas rather than stand with the world we can touch and breathe - and so the battle cries that give them purpose become blind to that which is around them in the name of what they see as an immediate threat to their righteousness.
  • Harpers: Most often allies as protectors of the world, but also believe they must steal or wield any power necessary to accomplish that mission - and have used extreme measures to do so that have left destruction on the lands.
  • Zhentarim: The darkest aspect of humanity is its greed and lust for power - this group is filled with its own greed while also supplying strength to so many others also seeking power despite the costs to the world around.
  • Arcane Brotherhood: Their positions have changed over the centuries, but rarely differ from the worst aspects of the Zhentarim or the expected behaviors of the Red Wizards. Their Host Tower is a corruption of the earth and a mockery of the great trees.
  • Red Wizards: Their growth in power and goals in the world only end in death and undeath and destruction. They will always be the enemy.

How Others View the Emerald Enclave

  • Lords Alliance: Civilization is the destiny for all races yet they want to slow or even stop progress. Unfortunately the reality is that The Wild is often where the opportunities and threats present themselves.
  • Order of the Gauntlet: Honorable aims but unreliable for support, sometimes protect evil they consider natural.
  • Harpers: Wise and useful allies - attentive to the simpler matters while we must also watch for the complex - the inscrutable, the ineffable, that which is still becoming.
  • Zhentarim: When things need to get done, their ideas about the world sometimes get in the way.
  • Arcane Brotherhood: Constant obstacle in the way of our studies and the growth of knowledge to all.
  • Red Wizards: The wilds teem with life from which we may draw vitality and power. Their opposition is futile, all things die and we are those who stand beyond death.
