The carved bone hilt of this weapon takes a nightmarish form, the blade with the bend and strength of mithril appears as frozen moonlight. That blade itself exists partially on the Ethereal plane, making its wielder more easily targeted by creatures whose senses extend to that plane (ghosts, wraiths, phase spiders, etc.) but it also glows slightly when such creatures are near - as an alert.

Those same strange properties make tracking it disorienting to defend against, and the first melee attack on a creature not yet attacked by the weapon in the current combat is made with advantage to hit.
