The Tortle race is largely unknown across Faerûn. The few who know of them believe they may not even be from Toril originally, but appearing during the effects of the Spellplague. There is a population of this race to the south of Chult, in a peninsula called the Snout of Omgar.
They are reputed to have a character as durable and honorable as their physical exterior.
