Henry Hart, private investigator. Specializing in finding missing people and lost or stolen objects Henry has been earning a living as a PI for close to 20 years now. He operates out of a basement office at 891 Post Street. Just below a 24hour laundromat and across the street from the Double R Diner, where he will often meet his clients. Despite being nearly 2m tall and 150kg Henry is a surprisingly fast and agile android. Constructed of a blend of carbon fiber and star ship grade titanium alloy the distinct traces of fine Horacalcum wiring can be seen across his body. His complete lack of any human facial features often leaves people feeling uncomfortable around him, but he attempts to assuage their concerns by offering a description of his current facial expression. Though this maybe a joke on his part as he lacks any discernible facial features his face being a seemingly solid and opaque metal plate. And while many find it hard to read him, he, through practice and close observation, has become very good at reading other people.
As an Android he is particularly unhuman looking with no real facial features, making him even more inscrutable than most Androids. In fact Henry was found in a fugue state by some salvagers who mistook him for a simple robot. And thus employed him as a semi autonomous labor bot. The cause of this fugue state is unknown to Henry but for nearly two years he operated at a minimal level of sentience able to only do simple tasks when instructed and sitting idle and immobile when left unoccupied. Eventually he found himself in a police evidence storage. Attempts to download his memories as evidence against the salvagers revealed him to actually be a sentient android and with treatment he began regaining full cognitive capabilities. Henry has no memories prior to his rescue by the scrap scavengers, and only very spotty and incomplete memories about his time in the fugue state.
He befriended the lead detective on the police case that brought him into evidence, and would eventually come to work for him when he quit the police force and became a P.I. Henry has spent the last decade or so working as a P.I. First as an apprentice for his mentor, then a partner, and in the last two years after his partners death as the sole investigator in his own firm. While his origin remains a mystery to himself it is one that he has so far chosen to ignore preferring to work on other peoples mysteries. Ever since awakening from his fugue state Henry has been striving to regain his ability to relate and interact with people, and although it may not look it he is now far less robotic in his mannerisms and actions then he first was. At times he can even be charming, and sometimes even funny but usually unintentionally. The one thing Henry certainly is is perceptive, and if need be extremely deadly (much to the surprise of his partner at first) but despite this he always prefers to bring in his suspects alive and avoid conflict where possible. Henry believes in the law, but has learned from his partner and experience that often it can fail the people who need it most, and so he strives to make it work just a little bit better for them when he can. At a reasonable fee.
