A Group of guardians dedicated to keeping the Pandora's Box closed and the Padorica Prison locked. The group was created after a dispute between the God of Law Primus and the Raven Queen. The Raven Queen created the Chaos Constructs known as the Seven Deadly Sins and let them loose on the world. Feeling the Material Plane should defend itself, instead of sending his Modron warriors, The God Primus selected 9 paladins and a wizard to collect the sins and place them into a special box. He then sought to kill the Raven Queen, who proved to be too powerful for even the God of Law and he was horribly wounded. In a desperate attempt to defeat her, Primus used a massive amount of his power to split the Raven Queen into 2 halves, one fully good; Hope, and one fully evil; Despair. After which he retreated to his plane to recover, he left the Oath Keepers to deal with the aftermath. They fought Despair and locked it in the Pandorica, and told Hope her job was to keep the sins in check from inside the Pandora’s Box. Thus separating the two halves of the Raven Queen and locking away her and her 7 Chaos constructs.
