Yggdrasil, also known as The World Tree, is an immense and ancient tree that stands at the heart of Bifrost Isle, its roots reaching deep into the very earth while its branches stretch high into the sky. Towering and awe-inspiring, this living entity is more than just a natural marvel—it is believed to be sapient, possessing both thought and speech. Though capable of shifting its form and relocating periodically, Yggdrasil moves of its own accord, as if it follows a will that is beyond the comprehension of mortals. It is said that the tree can alter its position across the land, sometimes subtly, other times with great change, making it a mystery to those who seek to study its movements.

Sentience

Though Yggdrasil is capable of speaking, it chooses its words with great care, and it communicates only with the current Arch-Druid or Shaman of the Bifrost Isles. The messages it imparts are often cryptic and laden with wisdom, passed down in whispers that echo through the land. Those who are chosen to receive its counsel are seen as blessed, for the tree's words are thought to shape the course of the Isles’ future.

Fruit & Harvest Festival

Yggdrasil is also capable of bearing fruit, though it does so at its own discretion. The appearance of its sacred fruit is a rare and momentous event, signaling the beginning of the grand fertility festival that occurs once every year. This festival, revered by all, brings together the allied tribes of the Bifrost Isles in a jubilant celebration of life, nature, and magic. For days, the ground beneath the great tree becomes a place of feasting, revelry, and rituals. The air is thick with the scent of fragrant flowers and rich foods, while music fills the air as tribes from across the Isles dance and sing beneath the World Tree’s immense boughs.
