Description
Actually a tall bush, found in wooded areas throughout the Ironlands. Has oily, dark green leaves that turn whiter around the edges and veins. Its springtime blooms are a dark brown, nearly black.

Its effects are counteracted by application of Edge-of-Worlds.
Dangers
Excessive exposure to the leaf oils is not uncommon and leads to progressive loss of all sensation followed by respiratory depression and death. Overdoses are rarely survived without the administration of the remedy before respiratory effects set in.
Medicinal Uses
Upon contact, the leaf oils induce a brief burning-cooling sensation, then local anesthesia, by rapid absorption through the skin.

Other Uses
When dried (but not crushed), the petals can be added to flames for a longer-lasting scry.
