Brightsage's Municipal Government is headed by the mayor, who oversees the running of the town as well as the town guard. Brightsage also governs the nearby town of Toidric.
The mayor is always a member of House Beræling, though the individual councillors are elected once every three years.
There are 7 councillors in the town, though most of these maintain separate jobs outside of government.
Structure
- Treasurer: oversees the town's finances.
- Councillor for Housing and Planning: in charge of general town maintenance and building works.
- Councillor for Transport: oversees maintenance and building of roads and the docks.
- Councillor for Security: is always the same person as the Captain of the Guard.
- Councillor for Waste and Health: manages waste disposal as well as the town's health initiatives.
- Councillor for Trade: manages the town's business and trade.
- Councillor for Toidric: manages administration of Toidric and represents the views of Toidric residents.
