Margaret is a fine metal worker in Crynnan and co-owner of 'Buckler's' Cabinet makers. She is married to Nicholas Buckler with whom she adopted Katherine Buckler.
Margaret is very content with the settled life she lives in Crynann, working alongside her husband in the family business that they own together, but the settled nature of their domestic existence belies her adventurous past. She was born in Numentol and grew up in a seafaring family, mostly living aboard ships during her childhood and travelling widely. She met Nicholas while he was assisting in some decorative woodwork aboard a ship she was working on, and was charmed by his balance and settled nature. She rarely speaks about her past (when most people knew her as Maggie), but can occasionally be found catching up on gossip over a strong drink with old sailors late at night in the workshop. By day she is a quiet and productive member of the community, well-liked and respected for her work.
