Zaine's Path:
Zaine, born in the Eden region's Sky Haven Keep ventures to The Pyre to learn more about his father's disappearance. He leaves his brother Squall Rafaga in charge of Sky Haven. He spars with a friend of his father Ophcet Chizpa upon arrival. [ability tutorial battle] During the battle, Zaine uses a special ability taught by his father to demonstrate his power. However the Storm/Electric/Volt Dragoon invokes his dragoon power in human form, winning the battle. Zaine notes that he can endure the lighting strike he just took, before passing out. The next morning, Zaine wakes up and joins the others for breakfast (made from the meat caught from Rokit & Alset's hunt.)
Rokit's Path:
Rokit is out hunting early morning with Alset Chizpa.. Rokit daydreams while watching a cardinal, before Alset snaps him out of it as they are attacked by an enemy [combo tutorial battle]. When they return to the farmstead, Zaine is sparring against Ophcet Chizpa. After Zaine's sparring defeat Rokit and Alset take him inside. That night while Zaine sleeps, Rokit and Alset discuss the story's current state. ( They discuss seeing Zaine again; the random attacks on their food supplies; and why it may be time for Rokit to join Zaine on his journey to The Pyre.
