The Oculus mutation is first noticeable when an enderian reaches childhood and is out of the infant stage in life. The mutation is divisible via pigmentation in the eyes, such as Ender Eyes for Irises and the whites remaining purple, or vice versa.
The mutation results in both bodily adjustment and comfort within the darker depths of The End Void.
Some believe this is due to a god known as Primordial Void favoring this percentage of individuals but there is no proof to this claim.
But regardless of theory, Enderian Oculus are known to grow stronger the closer to the void they get, nearly attaining Ender Dragon levels of strength when they can touch it. Along with this, the race known for hiding away from prosecution has developed minor stealth abilities out of fear of the vast population who had feared them for a time, granting Oculus mutation holders the ability to turn invisible for short periods.
However, due to this races ability to hide, grow stronger and teleport in The End, they became known as treasure hunters and nomads to overworld races, resulting in occasionally being hunted by Pillagers.
They share a similar lifespan to regular enderians.
With the mutations prosecution the Oculus has developed a habit of its members forming small groups in the past, such as The Unremembered.
But are also known to have a derogatory slur, being "Oci", some mutation holders seeing this as a horrible slur and reacting quite terribly to its use.
