Hide Armors are medium armors.
Hide armor was made from animal skins, pelts and furs. It was thicker and heavier than leather armor. Although hard to move in, hide armor was not so thick as to hinder speed. The hides of bears, wolves, and other local animal skins were commonly used for such armor, on rare occasions dragonhide was used.
