Raised in the outskirts of Aressas, the history of the Nilfard family is a tragic one. Living odd job to desperate shelter, the Nilfards were subjected to constant persecution at the hands of the people of Avoronia due to their lineage as Tieflings. Representing bad luck and omen to the townsfolk, they were shunned and forced into a cycle of poverty. After moving to the lower districts of Aressas, the Nilfard family experienced tragedy one night as their house caught fire killing the parents of a young Kalekai and Kelak Nilfard. In the years to come, Kalekai would increasingly radicalize his brother and assimilate him into the Infinitum Cult he has been forming after receiving eldritch visions of grandeur. At the culmination of the third continuum crisis, Kelak had to make the ultimate sacrifice and kill his brother, after learning that Kalekai was responsible for the fire and much more suffering,
