Zirael The Ancient

Deep within the unknown lands resides a floating island held in place through divine magic ever-changing the location and even physical makeup of the island which serves as the residing home for the Goddess of Magic, Mystra. Zirael the Ancients story is heavily intertwined with the goddess of magic herself, for thousands of years he has been known as her descended sun and a celestial golden dragon of untold cosmic power. Living for centuries, Zirael was raised into the ancient creature of lore and legend which he is now, standing ever vigilant before the lake of Mystra and her temple itself.
