The first victim of the imperial scourge plunging mainland Tolria into years of war and conflict, the weak duchy of Zubar was a prime target for the encroaching imperial forces moving their armies over the Isle of Niveus. Completely razing the city and killing nearly 3/4ths of the population, the city was turned to rubble by the imperial army commanded by Captain Ulrich during the 4th Age. In its ashes, a new city of Aventus was formed as an imperial city-state. In this disastrous event, the imperial occupying forces eliminated the entire noble line of Zubar, consisting of the bloody duke and all his family.
