The party wakes in the morning, exhausted and receives quite the talking to by Huski. Looking out into the main chamber, Zee (Zameia) Dusk casts 'Detect Good and Evil' and discovers that the runic circles are desecrated.
Venturing further into the cavern, the party come across a locked gate that leads into what seems to be a jail cell. After breaking open the lock the party find many dead, all without warm clothes on. Upon further investigation, the party stumble across a scroll of 'Speak with Dead'. Luckily the party find Falk however he has not survived and is chained against the wall. Desperate for answers the party decides to try the scroll to speak to him. Zee asks the Tailor how he died...
Falk: "I was taken and died in the cold..."
Zee: "Why did the Yule Cat take you?"
Falk: "I don't know..."
Zee: "What do you know about the Cat?"
Falk: "I thought it was a story... the Witch..."
Zee: "What do you know about the witch?"
Falk: "She haunted the town for years"
Zee: "What makes your PJs special?"
Falk: "The are made with love and care."
... the spell ends ...
The party decides that it is time to leave only to realise the doorway frozen shut and the room quickly freezing. Ice quickly forms around the party members' feet stopping the party from freezing. With the party's quick thinking and Rascar teleporting Zee out of the room and out of danger, the party just make it out alive.
Retreating back to the witch's room the party come across a chest containing coins, a small citrine and a small peridot. Deciding to investigate the runic circle further, the party all place something of importance in the middle of the circle in an attempt to cleanse the land and stop whatever may happen. Putting her healer's kit in the centre of the runes Zee asks for safety.
"This helps protect the people I care for. I don't know many people so this is what helps keep the people I know safe and alive." - Zee
As the party leave the cave, billows of toxic smoke begin to emanate from Rasca's ritual book he placed in the middle of the runes. Despite the building smoke, Rascar decides to investigate the small kitchen where Greycoat found the cauldron. Despite the party's protests he takes a sip from the cauldron only to begin to be chased by small bugs and critters.
Walking back to the village the party discover that another 3 houses were raided the night before. They are told that Gloriana, Frederick Youngman, Fira and Greg are missing.
With Rascar still covered in bugs and the likes, the party pay for the local cleric to cleanse him.
