Lower Dura used to be the heart of Sharn, but has been neglected as the city grew. Now it is a dark and often dangerous place, the Sharn Watch rarely venture down into the district and it has become a haven for criminals and gangs. The district is poorly lit, as most of the everbright lanterns that once illuminated it have been smashed or stolen, and the lack of funding from the city council is apparent in the condition of the walkways and roads.
