The Defender's Guild is the arm of House Deneith that specialises in personal protection. It's comprised entirely of members of the Deneith bloodline, though not all of them have the Mark of Sentinel. The requirements for entry into the Defender's Guild are high, and hopeful recruits must pass a series of tests before they can join.
A member of the Defender's Guild receives an 80% commission for the work they perform, the House takes the remaining 20% in exchange for lodging and brokering services. The daily cost of hiring a Defender is based on the level of dragonmark they possess, and they are expected to use it in defense of their clients.
