Geth is a Beasthide Shifter who served in the Frostbrand Company of the Blademarks Guild during the Last War. After the massacre of Narath, he wandered Khorvaire until he found refuge in Bull Hollow, a small village in the Eldeen Reaches.
Geth is wanted by his former company for desertion. They believe he abandoned his post in Narath, and many of his former comrades personally blame him for the city's fall, and the deaths of those who were with him. Geth blames himself also, but this is not entirely fair. He didn't desert, when the fighting began, he was knocked unconscious and left for dead.
When he awoke, his squad were dead and he was alone, watching the city burn. He frequently has nightmares about that day, and doesn't think he will ever forgive himself.
In 997 YK, Geth was present at the hamlet of Bull Hollow when it was attacked by dolgrims. He bravely fought to defend the town, but his resolve was shattered when Adolan was killed by one of the dolgrims. When the dragon arrived, Geth stole a horse and fled alongside Singe.
Later that evening, Geth reunited with Warden, and was met by Kalshana and Virikhad. The two Kalashtar were being pursued by more of the horrors that attacked Bull Hollow, and Geth defended them.
Following these events, Geth travelled to Yrlag, and from there made his way to Zarash'ak with Singe to warn the Gatekeepers that the Bull Hole had fallen, and that the Daelkyr minions were interested in the Kalashtar for some reason. At least, that is what he told Warden, mostly Geth wanted revenge on those that killed Adolan.
In Zarash'ak, Geth and Singe encountered Dandra, whom they joined up with. They were betrayed by Vennet d'Lyrandar, which led to Singe and Dandra's capture by Dah'mir. Geth was flung into the Glum River and left for dead.
He was rescued by the Gatekeeper druid Orshok, and the half-orc merchant Natrac. Together they traveled to the orc village of Fat Tusk. The orcs tested Geth and Natrac, sending them into the cursed fortress of Jhegesh Dol, where Geth recovered the ancient Dhakaani sword, Aram.
Geth led an assault on the Bonetree Mound, alongside the party. He personally wounded the dragon Dah'mir with Aram, which precluded the dragon's flight from the mound. He also destroyed the Binding Stone, an important piece of Dah'mir's plan. Following the Battle of the Bonetree Mound, Geth traveled with the party in pursuit of the dragon's plans.
Geth's Flashback
"Geth, you're tired, and you momentarily lower your guard in the presence of these two with whom you've bonded over the last few hours, and stare into the fire - which rises all around you, you spin and block an Aundairian soldiers sword, and retaliate by punching your attacker in the gut. His armour takes most of the blow and he laughs at you, but the laugh is cut short as your machete cuts into his neck. You don't wait for him to fall, you leap away and sprint into the madness that Narath has become, searching for the next Aundairian soldier. You don't look at the carnage, the atrocities, the massacre around you. Rage, and shame in equal parts grip you, crushing your heart and snuffing the light in your spirit. "Nilda! Coron! Singe! Dew! Treykin! Frostbrand, answer!"But they don't, nobody hears you. More Aundairians fall to your blade and your spiked gauntlet. You take on three at once, stabbing one, gutting another and crushing the throat of the third with your gauntlet.
Your head throbs from the blow that laid you low, your chest and face still cold and wet from lying unconscious in the snows of a Karrnathi winter. The flames around you scorch your skin and make you feel like you're burning too. You're sweating, heavily, and he ache down to your bones. There's nothing you'd like to do more than lie down and rest, but you don't. You keep going, shouting for your friends, for any member of the Frostbrand.
Narath seems to have turned into a maze. Every corner opens into the same scene of fire and blood. You sob as you race through horrors that in only a few short weeks would become infamous throughout the Five Nations.
And with a deep breath and a shudder, you're back in the Reaches, staring into a smoldering campfire with your once companion to your one side, and a new one to the other, a tear rolling down your cheek and clumping your fur."
