It is common knowledge that those with aberrant marks cannot be trusted. This is not out of prejudice on the part of the populace, they cannot help it. They're touched by Khyber, and the Dragon Below twists their minds and turns them into monsters wearing the flesh of people. All aberrants will eventually succumb to their nature and become killers. And whilst I can see the appeal in using such creatures as weapons against the enemies of our glorious country, it would be irresponsible for us to allow such vipers into our midst.
And yet, according to a high-ranking source in the King's Citadel, that is exactly what our government did. A secret operation that has predictably (for everyone but those in power, it seems) ended in disaster. After a few missions, a special strike force of aberrants slew their handlers and deserted, disappearing into the criminal underworld. They could be absolutely anywhere, right under our noses! There can be no clearer sign that our government is not only corrupt, but inept. They cannot be trusted with the power they wield, it is plain to see that it is time to institute a government that is chosen by, and answerable to, the common people.
King Boranel has yet to release a statement at the time of writing to address this failing of his government. His inaction and lack of transparency is actively harming his subjects, and the longer that this shambles of a government tries to hide what happened here, the more they put us, their people, at risk.
There are dark times ahead, dear readers, and only the Voice of Breland can be trusted to deliver the truth to you, the people.
