Salvage broker Belaluur had this to say on the matter; "These Mist Walkers are the real deal. They went into the Mournland to recover a missing person without so much as a shiver at the prospect, which is more than could be said for half the jokers in this town. They came back breathing, too."
As our readers know, survival in the Mournland is a rare thing, yet our outpost's brave salvagers risk it all to try and turn a profit from beyond the mists. What magic trick have these "Mist Walkers" employed to ensure their survival?
If they're brave enough to venture into the Grey again, and lucky enough to return alive, this correspondent assures you that they will be securing an interview!
The Emerald Claw had kidnapped a physician from Karrnath, and were forcing the poor fellow to examine and operate on the corpses. Some of you may have noticed that the corpses that litter the Mournland haven't decayed, indeed, they are in much the same condition now as they were in 5 years ago. The physician claims that they were tasked with discovering why.
The salvage rights to Big Moe are owned by broker Irullan Karnach. Her assistant posted a contract on the notice board to investigate a strange tunnel that the salvage teams had found. If he hadn't have done so, who knows what nefarious things the Emerald Claw would have done with those corpses!
It is with great regret that we must inform all of you that Evanazer, Irrulan's former assistant, was also murdered in the Scrapyard. According to Sheriff, the Mist Walkers found him lying on the ground when they emerged from beneath Big Moe, with two arrows piercing his chest. If anyone knows anything more about this heinous crime, they should contact Sheriff at the Sheriff's Office.
After paying their fines, Karnach had the following to say: "Big engines need to blow off steam, don't they? They're just boys being boys, at least nobody's been badly hurt. Let's keep it that way."
Here at the Salvation Times, we would very much like it if things were indeed kept that way, and nobody got seriously injured.
The source of the lights is unknown as of the time of publishing. Some who have witnessed the phenomena up close have described a strange whispering accompanying the lights, which made them feel fearful and uneasy. Be careful out there, especially if you encounter these lights!
