The Silaes Tairn are a subset of the Tairnadal who hunt giants on the continent of Xen'drik. They share many of the same ancestors as the Valaes Tairn, most of which fought the ancient giants, but unlike the Valaes Tairn who believe the spirit of the conflict is what matters, the Silaes Tairn believe that to honour their ancestors, they must also fight giants. As such, the Silaes Tairn prowl the jungles of Xen'drik, in search of giants and other dangerous beasts to prove themselves against.
Many of the Silaes Tairn are practicioners of Rune Magic, having stolen the secrets of the runes long ago, turning it against the giants. The Silaes Tairn also believe that Xen'drik is the original homeland of the elves, and they should be attempting to take it back.
