Maurezhi are a specialised form of ghoul created by the Kech Nasaar. Like all ghouls, they hunger for the flesh of the living, but unlike most ghouls, a maurezhi also absorbs the memories and lived experiences of those that they consume. More than this, they have the ability to assume the physical form of those they have consumed, though the disguise is imperfect. When transformed, the flesh of the disguise slowly rots away, revealing the true form of the maurezhi underneath.
Goblinoids of the Kech Nasaar willingly volunteer to be transformed into maurezhi after their death, so that they can continue to serve the clan. Maurezhi agents have been seeded throughout the rest of Khorvaire, infiltrating them and gathering information for the Kech Nasaar.
