Tripkee

Humanoid

Tripkee are small, amphibious humanoids that resemble tree frogs. They are roughly equivalent in size to Gnomes and Halflings, but with a gangly physique that makes them comparatively lighter. They are arboreal, much like the tree frogs that they resemble, with hands and feet that are adapted to climbing and traversing the jungle that they inhabit. Their oversized eyes are well suited to the environment, providing them with low-light and even infravision, allowing them to operate both during the day and at night. Their skin typically reflects the area they grew up, featuring colours that are dominant in their environment, providing them with a form of natural camouflage.

The Tripkee of the Abyssal Forest of Khaar lead a sophisticated hunter-gatherer lifestyle, shaping and cultivating their environment to suit their needs. They deliberately plant and protect the trees that provide their homes and food, growing mushroom patches in symbiosis with these trees, and even encouraging the growth of foliage to provide them with cover from predators and other creatures of the Abyssal Forest.

Tripkee can vary greatly in physiology depending on their environment. Within the Abyssal Forest, most of the Tripkee are immune to many of the toxins present in the demiplane, and some of them can even produce these toxins from poison glands throughout their bodies. Other Tripkee have webbing that allows them to glide through the trees, or exude a sticky film from their hands and feet that allows them to climb smoother surfaces that other Tripkee cannot.
