The Laughing Den is a place of sin. If you've heard the name let alone speak of the name, you know you may be on the wrong side of town. The bar is a place not many can actually find located within it's own domain. Secret doors are laid out throughout many realms granting access to the haven. Most come to the Den as a place to escape and lose themselves. Other come to arrange deals and fulfill their desires. The Den is a pocket dimension created by Phenax and Xenagos alongside the ascended Great Sages. Some survivors of the Unknown were banished there and thus forced to work and live out their remaining days.
It has no outside or windows. It does have the main bar room, floor space for dancing, side VIP rooms, a smoker's pit, a space for small scale gambling and pool. There are normal lavatories, kitchen, offices, and storage space like any other bar. To get inside the main bar room, one must go through a hallway of doors with the main door at the end of the hall. Each door along the sides of the hallway reach a different realm that the bar is connected to. With each realm, the bar has access to a variety of trade opportunities, but each door is laced with a unique charm that can act as a security measure should the owner feel threatened. In the upper level of the bar there is a small hotel space for those who are wishing to stay there for the night, while a secondary upper level acts as the living quarters for those who are forced to remain here.
The Den is ran and owned by Corbin Denorla after he was granted a pardon by the Great Sages. Although the place is considered a notorious vulgar place, Corbin doesn't take to kindly to underage individuals within his operations. He has a Githyanki bouncer Dae'var at the main entrance who checks the age limits of the patrons wanting to enter the establishment. The bouncer uses a unique glass tool with a ruby at the end enchanted by a unique enchantment from his astral dimension. The ruby has a gold coin with a runic symbol attached by a chain the binds the device to him. This tool enabled the bouncer to identify the age of the patron and their respective race. It sees through all illusionary magic.
The bar attendant is of a devilish man of nature named Dox. At first glance his presence is welcoming and calm unlike the atmosphere of the Den however if the need calls for it he is quick on his feet and won't hesitate to jump into action.
A well known patron of the bar is often seen here wearing a nun attire by the name of Annabelle Theresea Alamante. She bears a devilish smile filled with eldritch horror as her past haunts her eyes. Many come to her to see guidance or her blessings, but mostly she keeps to herself. Some call her a witch of the Eldritch after rumors of her arrival circulated the bar.
