Scribe
For scholarly wizards who spend their days doing research, a familiar can be of great help. While you may not be able to carry a heavy tome, you are more than capable of flipping pages in search of a particular phrase or symbol. You have sifted through more than a few piles of scrolls hoping to find the missing piece of an arcane secret for your master.
Much of your time as a familiar has been spent holding a quill. Scholars send many correspondances to each other, often dictated to their scribes. You may have also helped your master write their memoirs, or perhaps compose proposals to various institutions or rulers. In addition to those tasks, you have often been asked to copy spells into new books or compile spell research. Your background has exposed you to a deep well of rare knowledge and ancient lore.

Feature: (Researcher) When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.
