Definition – Fecund: producing abundantly
Synonyms for Fecund: cornucopian, fructuous, fruitful, prolific…fertile.

If fecund could be represented by a married couple, it would be Jimbo and Martha Nother (Rhymes with bother). The happily married couple lived a simple life in what had once been the small village of Fairway, but was now the midsized village of Notherville. The couple were the proud parents of 21 children. They had 3 sets of twins and 5 sets of triplets. Those children had married everyone else in the village and then they all had twins and triplets. And the family resemblance was unmistakable. Every Nother looked just like his father. You couldn’t tell one from another, was that one your brother, or was it your mother?

Needless to say, the grandchildren of Jimbo and Martha faced a problem. They themselves would eventually want to marry but they were related to and looked like everyone else in town.

Thus, the Nothers began to spread out. One of those Nothers, Billy Nother, is your new adventuring companion, although you know him by a slightly different name. Anyway, Billy had not been the first to leave as he was far down the line from the first Nothers, so it was a common for his relatives to have preceded him, and maybe to have left an impression on the town. This caused problems.

Oh, did I forget to mention that almost the whole clan of Nothers are kleptomaniacs? They are nice, cordial, friendly down-home people. Who also can’t help themselves to other people’s stuff. Not that Billy was a Klepto. No no! In fact, he hated that Nother lifestyle and had been quite eager to leave. But he had been surrounded by it. Guilt by association, you know?

Naturally you can see the type of situations that develops. Like the first town Billy set forth in, whose name is immaterial. Upon entering the tavern, a cry went up from the barkeep. “Oh no! Not another Nother! Get ‘em boys!”

The crowd reacted as one, they had seen and had enough of the Nothers and they weren’t going to bother puttin’ up with another Nother episode.
The crowd beat Billy badly and threw him out of town.

The reaction was much the same in every town near Notherville. Billy began to hate his family and all they had down to ruin their name. He tried to disown them all and just go by Billy Ray, but he looked so much like a Nother that no matter how many times he protested he was not a Nother, the towns folk just though he was stupid and introducing himself over and over.
