Water fountains of life 24OCT20

Level 4:
Prit was dead. Arnia was gone. Munafik was dead too. Blood drips trailed off to the east. That must have been the direction Prit came from and left a little blood trail from the heart. In this room a giant column of water crashed down with incredible force. It would likely kill anyone who went into the it. A question mark was engraved into the floor in front of the column of water. Oni moved off to the east. David moved off to the west.
Oni moved into the room. He was bent down and moved as quietly as he could. He walked through three simple living rooms. It was not clear what they were used for, except maybe the last of the three. It had chains mounted into the wall. Nothing was in the chains, but it was either for torture or sex and Oni did not want to be present for either. The middle room had a wall that was broken. The blood trail moved all the way up to the crude tunnel. Oni wondered if Prit had created that tunnel with his spoon. Oni moved up to the tunnel and looked at how the pyramid was built. It looks like he might have been able to use his magics once past the cover stones. He would need to remember that. Oni fell back to the water column room.
David moved east and found more living spaces. Well in this case they might called unliving spaces. The first room was an office with a desk and a book. It was called the “Libram of ineffable damnation.” This is likely some very friendly book about how children love to play and laugh. The next room was a sitting room. The northern room was a bedroom. This lich was cruel. He lived in this lush set of chambers and his loyal priests lived in rotting chambers below. He is cruel. Oni was glad when David bit into the heart and it fell dead. David came back into the water column room with the book in his hand, “look what I found.”
Mar’iya stepped up to the question mark on the floor. A face formed within the water column. It was the only noticeable change. The voice filled the room with sound and spoke, “What is your name? Mar’iya stood there for a moment. He was not sure how he should answer. Finally, the words came to him, “my name is Vashir Tenewrath, but I am now called Mar’iya.” Oni could see that hurt him a little. The water column moved onto another question, “What is your quest?” Oni had two thoughts. His first thought was that the answer must have been accepted by the water column. His second thought and he was not sure where this came from was, “I seek the Holy Grail.” He wondered what this Holy Grail was and if he actually was looking for it. Mar’iya said, “The White Star Gem and the Staff of Ruling.” This must have been an acceptable answer as well, as the water column asked a third question, “On whose hallowed ground do you stand?” Mar’iya smiled. He did not smile often but it was always done when he thought he won something. He knew this answer and could unlock this puzzle. He said, “Amun-Ra.” Lightening swirled around the column, it shot out and slammed Mar’iya against the wall.
Everyone looked at Mar’iya as he picked himself up off the floor. “I do not think I am the right person,” was all he said. David cracked his knuckles and stepped up to the question mark. He went through the same set of questions. His answers were similar but true for David. Oni thought about the questions and had his own answers as well. Lightening started to swirl around the column again. The whole group stepped back waiting for David to be blasted by it. The column stopped moving and stood still for one moment. If you had blinked, you would have missed the stopped moment. Oni stared through and saw the life within the water for that moment. He hoped he could or did bring that back to the world. Then, the water started to flow up. Mar’iya said, “that must be the way to the fourth level.”
The entire group stepped into the water. It gently shot them up and set them on the ground around the water in another room.
