The rest after the three assassins
Wink stared at the ceiling of the hide out, she had a hard time sleeping. The hideout was filled with movement but that wasn’t the reason why she couldn’t sleep, she was curious. She was able to read the scales of her small silver friend. She turns to Ixen who has fallen asleep in the far corner of the hide out using a rock as a pillow. She thought to herself if she could read snakes… what happens if she tries to read Ixen, I mean he’s basically a stumpy snake with arms and legs. Wink forces her eyes shut trying to focus on sleeping but it was a fruitless attempt, she NEEDS to know. As She sneaked out of her sleeping skins and towards Ixen side of the hide out, Ixen wouldn’t even know she did anything. After she finished that thought she stepped on something soft.
Arnia stirred awake as Wink stepped on her face. “Wink what are you doing sneaking around” as Arnia said this to wink she gave her a disapproving glare. Wink looked down to her feet and hid her hands behind her back. “Nothing,” Wink replied. Arnia continued to glare at wink disapprovingly as if she was still waiting for a response. The words left Winks mouth without her thinking as soon as she made eye contact with Arnia’s eyes “I wanted to see if I could use Ixen scales to see visions’’. There was a long pause before Arnia spoke “can you?”. “I don’t know… want to find out?” Arnia smiles “I mean if you dont wake him, what harm is in it”
Wink quietly approached Inex with Arnia close behind with an arm over Wink’s shoulder. Arnia was worried Inex would react violently like a dog being spooked awake and she might need to pull Wink away. Wink slowly and gingerly placed first her fingers then her full palm over his exposed scales and prepared to read him the same she should read her silver viper when her body froze. Arnia tried to move to but her body froze as well. Then their vision flashed to static as their minds saw which was never meant to be seen.

Winks eyes opened as she rose from …. The same place she fell asleep in last night. She looked around and her eyes met with Arnia’s as she rose from her original place of rest. The rest of the party was walking about, it seems they have slept through the night. Wink and Arnia look back to Inex who has not yet awakened but he is not in the same position he was sleeping in last night. He was sitting against the wall of the hide out holding himself in the fetal position.
