About the second night in your travels, you found that the green gem you hold glows when you hold it in a certain direction. Your group feels that it must be calling to its sisters. So you follow it like a compass.
Traveling for weeks in the desert now. You have gotten good at finding food, and even water in some places. The sky even leaked for about 10 min for one evening. Nevertheless, your rations of water are minimal, and you would have perished if not for the magic that combines the moisture from the air and fills your canteens. Much like back in the tribe of Yavapai at Trobridge.
Twice you have come across nomads, once easily dispatched, and the second time you traded with the clan, and they went on their way.
On the day, one full moon rotation after the green gem and the princess, you notice in the distance to the west, as far as you can see, there is a strange shimmer in the air. The sand dunes become flat and look almost blue. Stranger still, you cannot see the horizon. The sky seems to wrap around to become part of the desert ground. As you get closer, the desert sands seem to drop off into the sky. There are clouds floating deep within this strange sky, just as they float above you. At dawn, the entire sky is grey and dim. At dusk, you can see two suns in the purple and orange sky, one above the hot desert, the other below the dunes. As night falls, the two suns move closer and closer to each other, which Oni says it is a sign. At least the green gem agrees.
The desert starts to turn more rocky than sandy, and you hear a familiar sound up ahead. Combat for sure, but the cries of someone needing assistance as well…
