Text From the multiple voices from David

Session

This story is set just before Vashir makes the portal that allows us to travel to the area where we fight Tiamat.

“Can you show me where to make the portal?”  Vashir asked David, hoping for a mental image from David courtesy of all the voices in his head.

“Probably, but be careful in there.”  David said seriously, concerned for Vashir’s mental health. “It’s kind of a mess.”

They both grinned uneasily and then Vashir activated his psionic power linking their minds.

For the group all was quiet as they watched Vashir enter David’s mind, but for Vashir it was anything but quiet.  There seemed to be a million voices trying to tell him where the portal should go, all shouting and pointing and describing.  It was like being in the center of a concert hall with every member of the audience vying for attention.  Vashir tried to block out most of the noise and concentrate on a few, or even one, but it was proving impossible.  There simply was too much noise, too many voices.

“No wonder David seems insane at times”  Vashir thought, recoiling from the cacophony.   Just as he was about to quit he could feel David touch his shoulder and say “let me help.”  and with that the music started and the voices died down a little.

“Oh, that’s kind of a catchy beat,”  Vashir thought as he listened, hoping for a clue to where to put the portal, “but the singing, oh man.”

Looky looky looky looky looky looky looky looky looky looky here

Look who’se finally back

Can we start the attack

Hold on’ I need to yak about my little Jack

Besides where did Kiai go

Oh I think I know

To get a cup o’ joe

So mister dungeon master, load the FG

And all of my homies who play the D&D

We check the version, we see it’s 5e

But fundamentally, the same since 73

Now I can’t sing a note

Of these songs that I wrote

But I like to promote

Let me clear my throat

Eh eh eh eh

Hey Vashir

Try to put the portal right here

For just a moment an image appeared for Vashir, but it was gone before he could act.  The music faded, changed subtly and restarted

Now you can tell by the way I use my dodge

center of combat is where I lodge

I like when they surround me

Safe from enemy AOE

So they swing and they miss

Their frustration is my bliss

They can’t seem to understand

Why they can’t hit this small man

When they are swinging and my head should be ringing

I use Ablative Hide Ablative Hide

When I can’t duck and my head should be struck

I use Ablative Hide Ablative

Ah ah ah ah  Ablative hide Ablative Hide

Ah ah ah ah

Heeey Vashir, put the portal right here

Heeey Vashir, put the portal right here

“Enough!”  Vashir shouted into David’s mind.  For a moment all was quiet and the image of where to put the portal reappeared.  Vashir quickly locked it into his mind before it could fade, which it did most rapidly.  As Vashir prepared to exit this mental zoo he could hearthe music start back up, very different this time.  He listened for a moment and then fled before it could get any worse.

Villains

As a player I’ve killed all kinds of villians

I count em by the hundreds and the thousands maybe millions

I’ve killed Treants, Trolls, and even crocodilians

killed humans who pretend to be civilians

I kill in the open or in desert pavilions

now I’ve developed some very strong opinions

Who was the toughest with the best minions

Who was scary and ruled large dominions

And I think about all the damn reptilians

a 5 headed dragon, no aint kiddin’
