This is the whole world.
No one region has one dominant race, but it's somewhat common to have one race taking up the majority of a town.
There are also no real aristocrat towns/sectors. The upper class is scattered around the world, but they are more likely to live in the capitals of kingdoms than anywhere else.
marriage: marriage as a ceremony is pretty much the same throughout the world. a priest of the favored god will unite them as "lovers in ash and soot" and pronounce them wed. proposal changes by region, but as a whole one person gives another a gift to signify their devotion to the other. what region/kingdom they're in changes the present, though not everyone goes along with their own culture's status quo. in some regions a gift can be livestock, in others jewels or flowers, or sometimes its an object that has significance to the couple or giftee.
