You arrive back at town with no other bumps in your journey. Where would you like to go, now that you are on the outskirts of town?
if they go to Orcus Bloom they will find it abandoned. not in a rush, just no one is there at the moment.
when they wander into town, they will inevitably find Belari Kuff and Avbin Lenoké about to be executed via guillotine. (a drow man and a drow woman)
This is in the town square, and DC10 PERCEPTION shows that a lot, maybe even most of the town, is gathered in this town square. There are people watching from balconies and hanging out of windows to watch this execution. You see no drow people in the crowd. DC14 INVESTIGATION/PERCEPTION reveals that there are a lot of drow people up on the roofs of the surrounding buildings watching from above.
It would appear that you have arrived at the beginning of the execution. You hear a royal guard clad in red armour and scarlet antlers say, "We are gathered here today to bring justice for the death of our queen, may she be travelling The Ash in peace. She was poisoned by this man," and the guard jerks Avbin Lenoké forward and says "and this woman, this disgraced leader of the filthy drow monastery Orcus Bloom, harbored this criminal," and he shoved the drow woman forward, and I would like for Celqrys, Volte, Adrix, Surina, Aelar squared, and for Dench to make a wisdom check.
[DC12 they recognize her as the woman talking with the royal advisor in the castle when they were getting sent to the dungeons. Same DC for Aelar Amastacia to remember who it is.]
People in the crowd start jeering and calling for them to suffer as the queen did before she died. Some things are thrown up to them on the platform - rocks, rotten fruit. [PCs who saw drow people], you turn and see that quite a number of drow people are sobbing up on the rooftops.
And as dusk falls upon the square, you all watch the lives of Belari Kuff and Avbin Lenoké be ended.

The following days are bleak. Lady Springdew had come down from the rooftops adorned in white silk, and brought you all to Orcus Bloom to take refuge there with them for the next couple of days. Lady Springdew, who had originally been just underneath Lady Belladonna rank wise, rises to leadership, and takes control of the monastery as a whole. She leads the drow people through prayer and speech, and she helps to ease the death of Belari Kuff and Avbin Lenoké from the minds of her peoples.
For the next week or so, Lady Springdew highly recommends you stay within the walls of the Orcus Bloom establishment. However, she is not forcing you to stay. She, however, thinks it best for you all to lay low for the time being.
