Earth genasi on Terenas are believed to have originated as servants of Kethos, the Earthshaper. Kethos was a powerful being who could shape mountains and move the very earth beneath his feet. During the Elemental Wars, Kethos and his followers fought valiantly against the other elemental lords, but ultimately Kethos fell in battle. In the aftermath, his followers were left without a leader and were forced to find their own way in the world. Some of them eventually discovered that they had been imbued with elemental power, allowing them to control and manipulate the very earth and stone around them. These individuals became known as earth genasi and have since made a home for themselves in various parts of Terenas, using their powers to help shape and protect the land.
