Genesys Old Rules

These rules are specific to this campaign and facilitating size play for tiny characters to mega/terra sized giantesses!

Character Creation Rules

Character Creation Rules

All Characters Start with

Species/Archetype + 60 XP (Spendable on Characteristics)

+ 100 Catchup XP (Not spendable on Characteristics)

Players pick 2 characteristics and treat them as Super Characteristics.

See Page 251 of the Core Rulebook.

Since most of our players are advanced, the additional 100 catchup XP is so new players aren't too far behind.

Due to the Power of Brawl and Magic, we will be using

MELEE and RANGED skills instead of Melee (Light/Heavy) and Ranged (Light/Heavy)

Additionally, the OPERATING skill and the DRIVING skill will be combined into the PILOTING skill.

As per for core rules, Characteristics may not go beyond 6.

Characteristics for Character Respec and Advanced Characters

If you respec your character, or make a character with additional XP,

you may only spend Archetype XP + 60xp on characteristics.

Maximum Skill Ranks

The maximum roll any character may have in a skill is 5 Yellow+ 1 Green (Rank 5, Characteristic 6)

Characters may increase skills beyond 5 if they have characteristic lower than 5. In that case, each rank would upgrade the skill roll from green to yellow.

Default Actions:
All characters must list on their sheets a default Attack and Defense.

You may list other default options as well.

If you run over your turn time limit during combat, the GM or a delegated player will select and roll a default option for you.

Please include

  • Rolls, including skill, ability and talents
  • Damage rolls and abilities, such as Breach, Burn or Entangle
  • Advantage spend defaults, such as "Pass Boost", "Buy Crits", "Buy Weapon Effects"
  • For magic, relevant page numbers or descriptions of effects and any bonuses/penalties. Or a hyperlink.

Essentially, it should be a self-contained card with instructions on what to do and what happens.

Things left off this card will be disregarded, and invalid calculations will be handled on the fly via GM fiat, no arguments allowed.

Character Advancement

Characters can gain XP by attending sessions and accomplishing goals

Characters gain Mana by taking over settlements, worship, magic and artifacts.

XP Scaling

If a character has less XP than the character with the most XP, they gain double the amount of XP.

If that would put them above the character with the most XP, instead they gain enough XP to match the character with the most XP.

This is to ensure that characters eventually catch up to each other, and that encounters become easier to balance for GMs. If characters explicitly wish to remain unbalanced, they can use the Unfair mechanism.

Mana Sharing

As per our sportsmanship rules, all mana for characters in a session should shared in a relatively equal manner.

The Sex Skill

THE SEX SKILL

There is one skill for sexual attributes: Sex

The Sex skill can be keyed to INT, PRES, CUN or WILL

All character treat Sex as a free career skill.

Optional Rule: Secondary Attributes

Example: Tits, Ass, Fertility, Fat

You can set a Secondary attribute up the amount of ranks in Sex you have.

It is unlikely that these secondary attributes will come up mechanically, but they might serve as good measurements for sexy roleplaying scenes.

SEX CHECKS

The point of sex checks is...the act of having sex.

Don't use it for things like casting spells via Sexual Dynamo or combat via Sexual Tyrannosaurus. Talents and abilities might use the sex skill without requiring a sex check.

  • Easy (1): Optimal conditions, bedroom after a 3rd date.
  • Average (2): Normal Sex in a cliche location. Doing it in a public bathroom stall, at the beach, on the dining room table
  • Very Difficult (3): Most fetish situations. Public sex, a tiny man trying to get off a giantess, fucking a building.
  • Formidable(4): Sex in the middle of combat or life threatening situations.
  • Impossible(5): You literally can't have sex. Initiator is paralyzed, asleep, an inanimate object.

Sex checks may be opposed by Discipline, Brawl or other skills as applicable.

Success, Advantages

Successes indicate satisfaction/orgasms. Advantages can be used for boosts, etc.

Triumphs can be used for narrative effects, or count as 3 successes or 5 advantages for the purpose of talents, or to flip a story point to the players.

Failures, Threat, Despair

The GM can use failures or threat to inflict strain, lower the strain threshold for some amount of time, or trigger effects opposite of desired intent. (Shrinking, etc)

Despair can be used for narrative effects, or count as 3 failures or 5 threat for the purpose of talents, or to flip a story point to the GM.

Masturbation

In cases where only one party is interested, the initiator makes the check with any applicable bonuses/difficulty and that's it.

Consensual Sex

Make a combined skill check, using the highest skill and characteristic for all parties. As usual, gain a BOOST for all participants.

Fertility

If applicable, a successful sex check means the desired target(s) are impregnated.

Fuck Your Brains Out

Make a Sex check to inflict Strain damage on the target equal to your ability score, ignoring soak. See Sex Checks for difficulty/opposed rolls.

You can use this to fire trigger talents. This is typically a deceptive skill, IE a prostitute 'fucking the brains out' of a guard so her friends can get past

Sexual Assault

Make a Brawl check against the target, except the difficulty is Hard (3). Success indicates that you've forcefully groped, penetrated or otherwise sexually assaulted a target that is actively fighting against you.

You deal strain damage against the target normally.

Use this check for sex during a standard combat. IE Bashing an elf in the face with your dick instead of a sword.

Kink and Fetish Rules

FETISHY RULES

Not For Me:

Instead of being affected by a kink, take strain damage equal to the effect instead.

Vore:

Make a Resilience(Brawn) or Sex Check to Vore a target. Upgrade the pool for each difference in your Silhouette.

Entrap:

Make an Athletics Check(Brawn) or Sex Check to entrap a target within your clothes. Upgrade the pool for each difference in your Silhouette.
An entrapped target is immobilized and takes strain equal to the difference in your Silhouette each round. To escape, make an Athletics Check, difficulty equal to the difference in silhouette.

Unfair:

Players can donate XP they earn to other players. Each donation and amount must be approved unanimously by the GM and all other players.

Spending Advantages:
Clarification: When spending advantages and threats according to Table 6-2 and 6-3 on pg 104, each option is only selectable ONCE. You can only stack up to 2 BOOST on the next allied character by spending 3 advantage. Any unspent advantages or threats are lost and that is normal during the course of the game.

Narrative Effects:
You may also spend triumphs, advantages and threats to trigger a minor narrative effect equivalent to the effects on Table 6-2 and 6-3.

This is already stated in the Core Rules Book, but I am emphasizing it again here, since it is a pretty good way to make things extra sexy.

Flavor is Free:
As long as it has no mechanical effect, you can freely resize or control the size of other players for ERP outside of game sessions or primary pbp rp threads.

COMBAT HOUSE RULES

COMBAT HOUSE RULES

These are regular house rules that don't involve fetishes or sex.

Recover Strain:
You may spend multiple advantages to recover more than 1 strain.

RAW, you would only be able to spend 1 advantage per roll to recover strain.

Combat: Size Differences and Silhouettes

Combat: Size Differences and Silhouettes

Planetary Scales For Giants

As per core rules, Planetary Scale (vehicle) normally weapons deal 10x damage to characters.

Creatures Silhouette 5 or greater use the Planetary Scale for movement range.

For each 2 difference of Silhouette

  • Larger characters gain +1 difficulty to hit, to a maximum of 5 (Stacks with other difficulties, such as range)
  • Smaller characters gain -1 difficulty to hit, to a minimum of 0.

Example:

Kristina is silhouette 8, and she kicks a kobold with silhouette 0.  Brawl normally has a difficulty of 1, with a difference of 8 sizes, the difficulty is now 5 (1+8/2=5)

If the kobold attacks Kristina with a sniper rifle from Extreme Range (Normally Difficulty 4), then the difficulty is now 0. (4-8/2=0).

If the kobold attacks Kristina at Medium range, the difficulty is still 0.

Author's Note: Difference between this and Genesys

In the Genesys Core Rulebook, attacking a target 2 sizes larger gains reduces the difficulty by 1, and attacking a target 2 sizes smaller increases the difficulty by 1, with no provision for smaller or larger differences.

Therefore a target of size 1 attacking a target size 9 would still only reduce the difficulty by 1

MOUNTED COMBAT (TINIES RIDING GIANTS)

Mounted Combat with Giants

Just like an mosquito might latch or crawl onto a person, smaller characters might try to climb a giant. We refer to these characters as "Mounted". They are essentially riding the giant like one might board a ship.

Riding a Friendly Giant

  • Melee, Magic, Ranged and other applicable skills gain 1 SETBACK from riding a giant that is moving
  • Melee, Magic, Ranged and other applicable gain 3 SETBACK from riding a giant in melee combat
  • If the mount is KNOCKED DOWN or suffers a CRITICAL HIT, make a FORMIDABLE RIDE check, or the rider also suffers a critical hit AND falls, taking a minimum of 10 wounds and 10 strain. Distance fallen depends on size of the giant and where the character winds up falling.
  • In order to attack a mounted character, opponents must use the Aim maneuver and suffer 2 setback as usual.
  • If the giant is a sentient ally, you may use the Giant's ride skill instead of yours.

Riding a Hostile Giant

  • If the giant is at least your Silhouette+3, you can mount a giant. You cannot mount smaller giants. At that point it's essentially a melee or grapple attempt.
  • Climbing a giant has a base difficulty of HARD(3), but you gain a BOOST if it's wearing clothing, or 2 BOOST if it's wearing armor.
  • If the giant is wearing crewed armor, you may move freely about it using the same hand holds and rails as other characters do. Closed crew armor functions the same as a vehicle or space craft, and you may have to deal with internal security measures such as locks and defenses.
  • Reduce the difficulty to attack a giant you have mounted by one. For the purposes of Blast damage and other effects, you are considered Engaged with the giant.
  • You may make ranged attacks or magical against the giant without incurring any penalties for being engaged.
  • If the giant is wearing close crewed armor, you may have to destroy a section of that armor/vehicle before being able to attack the giant itself.

Giants Attacking Hostile Riders

  • You must take an Aim Maneuver to attack any enemies that are riding you and gain an additional SETBACK.
  • If you are wearing armor, gain 2 SETBACK for attacking characters on you
  • For the purpose of making ranged and magical attacks, hostile riders are considered to have ENGAGED you.

Accidental Hits

Fighting hostile riders as a giant or as an allied rider is risky. Stray shots or hits might hurt your ally or if you are the giant, yourself. These actions can cause accidental hits.

  • A giant uses a ranged or melee weapon to attack a hostile rider.
  • A friendly rider makes a ranged attack against a hostile rider.
  • A friendly rider uses a magic attack against a hostile rider without using the Close Combat modifier.

When performing a combat check that can cause an accidental hit, upgrade the difficulty of the check once. Even if the check succeeds, the first DESPAIR generated is automatically spent to make you hit yourself, or any allies engaged with the enemy (GM's Choice) instead of hitting the target.

Size Talents

Giant Size Talents

Giant Size talents are exclusive to Tiny talents. If you take any giant size talents, you may not take any Tiny talents.

Tier 1

Giantism

Ranked: Yes

Increase Silhouette by 1 per rank. Increase your WOUND THRESHOLD by 2 Per Rank and STRAIN THRESHOLD by 1 per Rank.

RankEffect
1You take normal damage from Planetary Scale Weapons
2Add +1 BREACH to Brawl and Magic attacks.
3Deal planetary scale damage against vehicles. Brawn grants Armor against Vehicle weapons.
Talents that increase Soak or Pierce at a personal level increase BREACH and ARMOR instead.
Giant sized weapons use Breach instead of Pierce.
When attacked by a tiny character with a Breach weapon, treat that weapon like it was a vehicle weapon.
4Add +1 BREACH to all Attacks
5Add 1 ARMOR.
6+

Every 4th Level of Giantism Add 1 BREACH

Every 5th Level of Giantism, Add 1 ARMOR

Your encumbrance becomes 5x (Brawn+Giantism) instead of 5+ Brawn.

If you have the Animal Companion talent, your Animal Companion's base starting size is your silhouette.

Examples- Giants Attacking Vehicles: Fang has 6 Brawn and Giantism 5. She attacks a CR90 Corvette with Armor 5. She rolls 1 success and deals 7 damage. The Corvette's Armor is reduced by 2 Breach to 3. Fang deals 4 damage to the Corvette.

- Giants Hit By Vehicles: Fang has 6 Brawn and Giantism 5. She is hit by a Turbolaser with 10 Damage and Breach 3. With Brawn 6 + 1 Armor (Giantism) she has 7 Armor against the attack. Breach 3 reduces the her Armor to 4. The Turbolaser deals 7 damage.

- Giants Attacking Giants: Fang has 6 Brawn and Giantism 5. Kristina has 2 Brawn and Giantism 11, which grants +2 Armor. Fang attacks her for 7 damage. Kristina's total armor is 4. Fang has Breach 2 from Giantism 5. Fang deals 5 damage to Kristina.

-Giants Attacking Tiny/Normal: Fang has 6 Brawn and Giantism 5. Cinder has 6 Brawn. Fang attacks Cinder dealing 7 damage. She has Breach 2, and so ignores all of CInder's Soak. Cinder takes 7 damage. Cinder retaliates and attacks Fang. She uses a Greatsword and deals 11 damage. Fang has 1 Armor and 6 Brawn, which equals 16 soak. Cinder deals no damage. Cinder decides to use a Plasma Greatsword with Breach 2, and deals 11 damage again. Cinder's Plasma Greatsword is now treated as a vehicle weapon, reducing Fang's Armor from 7 to 5. Fang takes 6 damage.

Bigger is Better

Ranked: Yes

When making a combat check, spend strain up to ranks in Bigger is Better. Reduce the difficulty to hit due to silhouette difference equal to strain spent.

  • Ass: When making a Brawl check, your attack gains the Blast quality The attack doesn’t target yourself.

  • Fat/Fertility: When making a Brawl check. your attack gains the Ensnare quality. The target is considered vored or unbirthed while they are ensnared.

Tier 3

Bigger is Better (Improved)

You may add a personal scale Blast equal to the amount of strain spent on Bigger is Better. This blast damage only affects targets that are your silhouette-2 or smaller.

Bug Smasher

Tier:3

Any successful attack against minions Silhouette 1 or smaller deals an automatic Critical Injury.

Get Off Me (Improved)
Tier:3

Requirement: Get Off Me, Bigger is Better (Improved)

The Blast from Bigger is Better(Improved) effects all characters in an entire zone. You can spend Advantage to remove 1 character from the Blast effect.

Tier 4

Massive

Tier 4

Ranked: Yes

Requirement: Giantism 4

Increase Silhouette by 1 per Rank

Gain 1 Massive per Rank.

Massive: When making an attack against this creature/starship, the Critical Rating of any weapon counts as 1 higher per value.

Massive Ass (Tits/Etc)

Tier 4

Requirement: Massive

Once per session, when your character is target by an attack, you may cast Barrier as an out of turn incidental, using Magic or Sex.

Tiny Size Talents

Tiny Sub Archetypes

These can be added to any existing species or archetype. A character with a tiny sub archetype can't select any Giant Size Talents. Tiny archetypes are restricted to being silhouette 1 or lower without the use of talents like "Just the Right Size"

As with our rules, you can add a tiny sub archetype after character creation. (Maybe your character created a clone, time split, etc)

Minion Group: -100 XP

This character counts as a group of minions and follows minion rules. This character could be an organization, multiple time copies, a set of clones, etc. You count as your own ally for the purpose of talents like Inspiring Leadership. This character still counts at one character for the purpose of all talents.

There is Another:

If this character dies during an encounter, spend another story point to bring back another copy of the character at the end of the encounter.

Minion Vehicles:

Unless you have access to multiple copies of a vehicle, each group can only operate one vehicle at a time.

Example: The TIE Pilots are a minion group of 5. If they have 3 TIE Fighters, they can create a minion group if 3 TIE fighters. If they have 3 TIE Fighters and 2 TIE Bombers, the can only operate the TIE Fighters unless they use the Legion Ability to split the group.

Characteristics:

You may not spend XP improve the characteristics of this archetype during character creation or respecs.

Indestructible -100 XP

This character can't be killed. Instead of dying, they are unconscious until healed.

Reformation:

If this character has maximum wounds, spend a story point to heal 1 wound after the end of the encounter.

Blessed are the Meek:

This character is not narratively immortal. They exist to suffer for the amusement of others, and dying wouldn't nearly be as fun. They do not perceive or understand they cannot die mechanically. This character can still be killed for story purposes, such as being executed for heinous crimes, or being deliberately murdered by a villain to emphasize their cruelty.

Characteristics:

You may not spend XP improve the characteristics of this archetype during character creation or respecs.

Tiny Size Talents

Tiny Size talents are exclusive with Giant Size Talents. You cannot take any Giant Size Talents if you use a Tiny Archetype or any Tiny Size Talents

Tier 1

Tinier

Ranked: Yes

Decrease Silhouette by 1

If you have the Animal Companion talent, your Animal Companion's base starting size is your silhouette. OR you can set the size of your Animal companion as if you had ranks in Giantism instead.

Every rank of Tinier you have removes one rank of Giantism.

This is usually done through the influence of trigger talents

Harder They Fall

Ranked: Yes

When making a combat check against a target 2 or more silhouettes larger, spend up to 2 strain per ranks in Harder They Fall. Add BREACH 1 for each strain spent. The scale of this attack is the same as the scale of the target, including with regards to range.

Nenet is targeting an AT-AT that has Silhouette 4. Her Silhouette is 1. She spends 4 strain to activate Harder They Fall (2) and gains BREACH 2 on the attack. She deals 4 damage. Unfortunately, an AT-AT has Armor 5(5-2=3) so she only does 1 damage.

Normally, she would deal no damage at all since her damage of 4 would be at personal scale, and count as 0 Planetary scale damage.

Han Solo (Silhouette 1) is on Vandria (Silhouette 8). If he is on her shoulder and shoots Eldrusk (Silhouette 8), normally he would be out of range. (Melee between 2 silhouette 8 giants would be over 1000 feet apart)
Using Harder They Fall, his blaster would now fire at Planetary Scale (Short)

Maddening

Ranked: Yes

Requirement: Troublesome

Action: Action

Add the Breach Quality to your next attack with a value equal to your ranks in Maddening. If your weapon already has Breach, increase the value by your ranks in Maddening.

Quantum Armory

Requirement: Minions

If your group equips one copy of a piece of equipment, all minions have that piece of equipment. If you give that equipment to another character/group, that item reverts back to a single piece of equipment. This doesn't work for vehicles.

An Army of One

Requirement: Minions

Action: Action

Instead of physically being a group of minions, you can collapse all your minions into one single character. Narratively, this might mean an elite commando is deployed, or all your dimensional clones combine into one-super-being, etc.

What this means is you only take up space of one character. So if you have 1 TIE Fighter, all your minions can pilot that fighter, etc.

Trigger Talents

Trigger Talents

Trigger talents increase a talent, characteristic, skill, status or ability and are ranked.

The keyword Trigger is shorthand for:

Condition: Individual talents will replace condition with a talent, characteristic, skill, ability or status.

For each value of Giant Growth, add 1 Rank of Giantism to the target. This effect lasts until the end of the encounter.

TIER 2

Fancy Show Off

Tier: 2

Requirement: Significant Other

Upgrade all Charm, Deception and Negotiation checks in the presence of Significant Other once.

TIER 3

Animal Companion

As page 77 in the Core Rulebook

Pick Sex, Primal, Divine, Arcane, Survival, Giantism or Tinier.

You may grant ranks of Giantism to your animal companion for each rank of of the skill or talent you have.

You can make your animal companion sentient and talk. Your animal companion can be any species or robot the GM agrees to.

All Animal Companions gain the following ability: "Bigger is Better: Decrease the difficulty to hit due to silhouette difference by half this creature's giantism rank, rounded up."

You may create a custom Animal Companion, however two GM's (or half the amount of active GM's in the server) must approve the stat block proposed before it can be used in play. GMs should remember that Animal Companion is a ranked talent and that whilst the base form can be powerful, it needs to have room to grow.

Animal Companions do not have 'Super Characteristics'.

Giantism and Tinier Ranks gained from trigger talents do not contribute to the ranks your Animal Companion receives.

Limit: Beastiality/Zoophilia are not allowed.

She's Mine

Tier:3

Requirement: Significant Other

You never incur accidental hits against your Significant Other, and vice versa. Your Blast damage does not affect your Significant Other and vice versa. Gain a BONUS for attacking hostile riders on your Significant Other.

Once per round, you can move to anywhere on your Significant Other as an incidental

TIER 4

Fortified Friendship

Tier:4

Ranked: Yes

Increase the wound threshold of your Significant Other by 2 per rank in this talent.

If you fall off your Significant Other or suffer damage due to location destruction, you land on your feet and take no damage instead.

Forever Together

Tier: 4

Requirement: Significant Other

Once per session, after learning the results of a critical hit against your Significant Other, spend a story point to prevent it.

You may also spend a story point to prevent the death of Significant Other.

Sexual Dynamo (Improved)

Tier: 4

Ranked: Yes

Requirement: Sexual Dynamo (Domain)

Pick a Sexual Dynamo talent you already have. Sexual Dynamo no longer limits the use of the casting spells to once per encounter.

This is not a trigger talent. Therefore if you have Sexual Dynamo Improved (Healing), then purchasing Sexual Dynamo Improved (Augment) would be a T5 talent that costs 25.

Conjuration

A Medium Summon (1) will typically have GG in their primary combat skill, deal 5-6 damage, and take about 1 hit: Example: Goblin, Skeleton

A Grand Summon (2) will typically have YYGG in their primary combat skill, deal 9-10 damage and take 3-4 hits. Example: Barghest, Grotesque

A Great Summon (4) will typically have YYGG and some kind of special ability: Young Dragon, Wraith

Summoners can apply Silhouette increases, Breach and Armor as if their Magic Skill were ranks in Giantism.

This makes summoning a more explicitly viable option for giants, as it's based on combat abilities rather than size

Summoning Equipment

1: Axe, Sword, Pistol

2: Greatsword,Bow, Rifle

3: Lightsaber, Sniper Rifle, Heavy Blaster Rifle

4: Powersword, Flame Thrower, Gatling Gun, Cannon, Speeder Bike

Sex Spell Effects

You may apply the following spell effects when using the Sexual Dynamo talent to cast a spell.

Gestate

Absorb the target into your womb to give it a safe nurturing place to recover.

Apply this to Barrier spells.

Make a Difficulty 3 Resilience Check, if you succeed the target is absorbed into your womb.

Not For Me: The Target is wrapped into a magical cocoon or something like that instead.

When using Heal spells on a Gestating target, reduce the difficulty by one.

When Gestating a target, you can use Sexual Dynamo to target them with Transform or Augment spells.

Birth:

Using a maneuver, release the target back into the world.

Gulp

Apply this to Attack Spells.

+3 Difficulty. The target is swallowed by you.

Each round, the target must make a Resilience check against your Sex Skill or suffer wounds and strain equal to your ranks in Sex. Soak applies to the wound damage, but not the strain.

Each time the target inside deals damage to you, you must make a Difficult Resilience check or cough up the target.

Game Master Rules/Guidelines

GMs are often challenged by the fact that giants are so big and powerful that they have two choices, either they build something specifically to defeat them, or they render all attacks useless. This makes GMing even more difficult as a wealth of resources like "Monster Manuals" suddenly become fairly useless.

The Annoying mechanic allows GMs to make monsters that otherwise might as well not be there, something to think about.

Annoying Enemies

Minion Groups and Rivals can be Annoying. There are different levels of annoying. At the GM's choice they can deal wound or strain damage.

  • Vexing: If this enemy deals no damage due to soak/armor, deal 1 damage per success
  • Irksome: If this minion group deals no damage due to soak/armor, deal 1 damage per minion
  • Nuisance: If this enemy deals no damage due to soak/armor, deal 1 damage.

Dealing with Annoyances

PCs may spend THREAT to negate damage from Annoying enemies, or ADVANTAGE to directly deal damage.

BLAST damage from Players ignores the Soak of Annoying enemies.

If an Annoying enemy is killed, they can be ABSORBED or used for TRIGGERS as an incidental (free) action.

Skill Talents

These talents grant additional class skills.

They are based of skills like "Union Member" and "Tri-Maf Contact" from other books, but have been made more generic.

Extra Skilled

Pick one of the skills below. Your character gains that as a class skill, and once per session can remove one SETBACK when using the skill.

  • Brawl
  • Streetwise
  • Stealth
  • Athletics
  • Mechanics
  • Operating
  • Melee
  • Skullduggery
  • Ranged
  • Resilience
  • Perception
  • Survival

Each time you pick this talent, it pick a different talent.

Extra Skilled (Athletics) is separate from Extra Skill (Brawl)
