Ulrek is a middle-aged man who has seen his share of battles. Working as a mercenary in his youth, he decided to enlist in Fairhaven guard after he was heavily wounded in battle. While not as agile as before, he is very experienced and still very dangerous. His charisma and approach to subordinates make all guards like him and treat him with respect.
Ulrek does not seem to like the fact that the queen took reign in the city, but he uses his position to keep people relatively safe.
Ulrek has known Maret for a long time – he met him during his mercenary days. He trusts the merchant. Ulrek also convinced the previous mayor to let [Zhozag] stay and live near the village.
Traits
Ideal. “If we work together, we will succeed at anything.” Long days of being a mercenary have taught Ulrek that working together is the key to survival and success.
Bond. “The common folk must see me as a hero of the people.” Ulrek knows that not all his deeds during mercenary days were good and just, and he tries to atone for his sins by being there for all the people in the village.
Flaw. “I will finish this, even if I have to do it alone.” When Ulrek stands against the odds, he will try to finish his task, even if this means plunging into certain death.
