Feathered Bastard is the not-so-affectionate nickname bestowed upon a particular seagull often found following the Blackfish. While some crew mates, especially newer ones, believe the Bastard to simply be a title applied to any seagull who steals food, many who've been around longer swear the Feathered Bastard is a single specific bird of terrible cunning and insatiable hunger. New recruits quickly learn not to attempt to eat above deck, but some swear the bird has been spotted below on occasion as well.
No one on the Blackfish has yet been able to take out the Feathered Bastard despite numerous attempts, though Mr. White came close one day after the Bastard had been harassing one of the ship's cats.
The Feathery Bastard now seems to know better than to harass the cats and instead concentrates its bullying on crewmates and Tikka Masala, Nacre's painfully stupid raiton familiar. Tikka Masala rarely seems to notice.
