Oni-Cove is a small cove on the coast near where The Wild Lands meets Gaultonnia. It is a small hidden cove with a waterfall, and named Oni Cove due to the Ogre Magi who would occasionally come to the cove to do spear fishing. The Oni would walk across the water, it's great size providing shade attracting sea fish that came in at high tide. She would then drop her glaive from above onto the unknowing fish.
By the time Eori Riverleaf's father had taken her there, the Oni had long since passed. Taking his daughter to sunbathe in the hidden cove far away from his worries and cares was always the highlight of his summer. The family could only escape once every week or so, and make the long hike to the hidden cove, paying off Gaultonnian Knights for 'safe' passage.
On one occasion, well before Eori was stolen and was still but a child, a Naiad was caught in the cove at high tide. Eori's parents managed to help her back to her native salt water with much effort, so they did not spend very much time with Eori on that occasion. However, as a thank-you to the Riverleaf's the Naiad blessed Eori. What that blessing was, Eori can not remember. Time and Trauma fog the mind.
