Peakmount is an ancient citadel founded on a great high rock overlooking the desert. It is the base of the House of Feedor. The lower floors contain the stable where the genetically engineered giant cats that they ride are kept.
The cats grow easily bored and must be entertained. The stable boys and girls are tasked with the dangerous job of mimicking hunting to get them to eat by dangling meat from ropes or on the end of sticks to taunt the cats into eating.
The upper floors are all dedicated laboratories where it is rumoured that deserters from The Society of the Bond work on technological innovations for the House away from the prying eyes of the king.
