Daran Edermath, a retired adventurer, heard stories of undead chasing travelers away from a ruin known as Old Owl Well. He asked the party to investigate if they were out that way.
When the party reached the ruins, they found a red wizard of Thay excavating the site with a group of zombies he had raised. Without attempting diplomacy, the party slew the evil wizard and defeated his zombies, claiming his Ring of Protection as their prize.
Daran was appreciative of the party ridding the world of a bit of evil.
