Sabine Wade leads the Wintershield, Neverwinter's local guard and army. She was tasked by Dagult Neverember to find and stop the source of the wasting illness affecting the city. To that end, she hired the Heroes of Phandalin based on Sildar Hallwinter's glowing report of their actions in Phandalin. The heroes met her in the Moonstone Mask, where she explained what she knew about the illness, gave them one half of a pair of Sending Stones so they could reach her if needed, and set them on their mission.
