Former Open Lord of Waterdeep, Dagult Neverember eventually became the Lord Protector of Neverwinter in 1469 DR after the destruction of the city by the eruption of Mount Hotenow. He has poured considerable resources into the restoration of the city, which has won over many of his critics in the following decades. The radical Sons of Alagondar openly oppose his rule, even resorting to acts of violence and terrorism.
