Traveling from village to village, the rumors I hear are few, and always vary bit by bit. A decent number of them lead instead to the mad heathens we have been chasing.

- The Voidspawn of Oryx, Seekers of Caapalon, Hellrazers of Kadingir, and Silven of Arkhan all seek a "Blooming Shadow". The Voidspawn and Seekers want to harvest it while the others wish to destroy it.
- A met a number of alchemists that claimed it held some grand power over life and death, even beyond Oryx's grasp.
- A number of my brethren have made up rumors of their own. Its descriptions somewhat match the feeling of our power. Perhaps it holds a greater power to destroy magic?
- A personal story. We were chasing down a pack of dangerous Kaarans that were leaving a trail of overgrowth in their path, making them nearly impossible to follow. After weeks of chase, we came into a clearing by a pond only to find that they had eviscerated each other. Besides each corpse lay a sapling, the waters were stained a dark red, and floating in it was a lotus, missing all of its petals. We took it to an alchemist for examination, but they weren't able to tell us anything about the plant. Although our hunt was considered a success, I still don't feel easy about how it all ended.
