Believed to have abandoned his responsibilities and family, but was abducted by aliens and then forbidden to return to Drokhan by the Knightowls.

He and about 30 Knightowls mutinied and stole one of the organization's largest spelljammers. They went off in search of their enemies, such as the Unknown.

After engaging in a war with their enemies, and subduing the Knightowls, Rum and some of his crewmates returned to Drokhan.
