Buoyant Jelly, or "Floaties" as they are colloquially called, are a type of airborne jellyfish. They usually appear in bigger clusters just aimlessly floating through the sky, feeding on aeroplankton they absorb. Unlike their marine twins, they are not venomous and can thus be easily worked with, using some simple string and a weight.

To make use of the mysterious ability of a Buoyant Jelly it has to be worn over the head and ears like a soft helmet. The wearer can then understand all words heard through the membrane of the creature, no matter the language or dialect. Regardless of the ridiculous appearance this causes, these living translators can be a valuable asset in many a situation.
