After some deliberating the party moves into section 3 and follows the long corridor to the lake.
Sadek the Poker lies to them about the warning, though some people catch on.
Merryblossom dive-bombs into the lake, turning into a killer whale in mid air, and the rest of the party has to run for shelter while the Neh-Thalggu approaches, drawn in by the noise.
Alone under water she makes her way to the village and notices the leviathan in the distance.
She checks out a house and enters the temple where she changes form into a giant octopus to pull out the gems from the statue.
The dormant ghosts awaken when she tries to leave and possess her. They force her to climb a mushroom and wait for the Leviathan to swallow her.
Meanwhile the party is worried and send James to check on what's happening (he's a water genasi). As he gets close to the village he sees the Leviathan and dives towards the shelter of a house.
Merryblossom, currently in the belly of the beast and having taken a lot of damage, polymorphs herself into a Whale, but gets stunned while trying to escape.
James comes to the rescue and sees his druid companion flee away. The Leviathan swallows him and he dies.
Having found the third gem and with no way to rescue James the party returns to the statue. They figure out the gem combinations and return to the University to communicate their progress and inform Ubar Bashal of James' demise. While Ubar informs the dean, the party discusses their next steps.
An expedition will be set up by the university in a few days to try and retrieve the body.
The adventurers decide that they'll go back into the maze.

Introduce Boyan's new character into the story.
He's been asking around for Merryblossom.
He's currently staying at the Beached Leviathan
Reaction of the University staff on loosing James (an employee).
There's a day of mourning, university is closed during that time.
The next day there will be a short service attended by the staff and any student that wants to come (this will be in the round domed temple of Oghma behind the university)
Talk about setting up an expedition to rescue the body of James (the Dean will ask more information of the Leviathan)
Adventurers are asked to come to the guard house to talk about the Derro by one of the guards that accompanied them.
He's a stout young man with a large brown gaul mustache, he's got a black eye and some bandages wrapped round his arm.
The derro are currently imprisoned in a big holding cell at the Guard House, they started fighting when the entered the building.
Captain Jarnos is currently overseeing the chaos. There's a couple of wounded guards being taken care of and the Derro are shouting profanities, Sadek loudest of all.
He'll ask the names of the adventurers.
Captain Jarnos will take Merryblossom apart and tell her he's heard someone's been asking about her in the Beached Leviathan tavern.
