S2 Episode 8

While this episode was generally entertaining there was a table agreement that it was on the whole it was a disappointment.  Many elements from this session are going to be revised, removed or ret-conned in future sessions.  This is for the integrity of the game at large and the general enjoyment of all players.  Please see future logs to note changes from the story elements below.

  • Party sent Helena Atwater and the surviving members of the 7th Loyalist Co. G back to the imperial city under the command of "Lieutenant" Cpl Harri Barnes.  Their hope is that the party will receive a warmer reception if they do not sneak into the city later.
  • They returned to Oxford and their 7-11 Base of Operations to find that it was maintained/ modified by two of the youth they had previously rescued.
  • The dragon Dolzrig using the name "Dori" returned to visit.
  • The party set out for the city by the main road, deviating to avoid detection.
  • One such deviation lead them stumbling into an area that had seen rapid "reforestation".
    • Trees had sprouted and grown full sized through the concrete and asphalt of the roads.
    • They also spotted smoke in the distance from a small sized forest fire.
  • When they arrived at The Meadowbrook Glenn they met members of Meadow Brook Glade which included Jux, Olivius and Juneberry.
    • The group has been on a mission to return this area to it's pre-colonization purity by magically growing the trees and encouraging the return of native wildlife.
    • This would include the return of natural predators once there was ample prey population, meaning once there was enough deer, they would encourage the return of wolves.
    • This area is generally unpopulated.
  • The group has been attacked by a monster that can breathe flame and has three heads, one of a dragon, one of a lion and one of a ram.  It has been harassing the group for some time.
    • The group had tried to talk to it.
    • The druid who approached to cast Speak Animals and use Animal Handling was killed.
  • After some debate the party agreed to track the monster, Sam bringing up that it was a magical monster whose parts could be worth a lot of money to the right buyer.
  • They tracked the monster to an area in an overgrown subdivision.
