The party wanted to explore a bit more before the formal ball begins. Included:
- Samantha "Sam" Mettle and Aveline Voight exploring a local park
- Aveline was deeply concerned that it used too much magic and illusion to create a space when an actual park could do the same. They spent some time talking to the caretaker who was proud to offer an open space inside a city.
- Each player also had time to train and expand their knowledge.
- Syb is struggling still to understand her role within the military but maintains a growing friendship with Libby Henderson, a powder runner on the ship.
