Konrad Wędrowic

Konrad was born in a small village, his father was the local apothecary, a very underpaid one at that. Konrad had 3 older siblings 1 brother (5 years older) and 2 sisters (one was 5 years older as well the other was 3 years older) his father took him on as an apprentice and taught Konrad medical treatment as well as how to identify medicinal plants and their uses. During their child hood his older brother hunted wildlife in the nearby woods and Konrad frequently went with him, mostly to gather herbs for his father but he also learned basic tracking and archery from his brother. At the age of 15 Konrads mother passed away from an illness and his father was broken by her death frequently forgetting or refusing to eat and drinking, his brother at this time joined the outriders to earn enough money so that his family could support themselves and frequently sent money back to his home. at 16 Konrad was forced to take over his fathers business because his father began drinking constantly. The next year a plague ripped through the village, his oldest sister passed away from it and his younger sister ran off with an adventurer before the plague reached its maximum potential. Konrad caught the plague and was treated by his father who sobered up enough to tend to as many people as he could, his father caught it while Konrad was recovering and passed away from the plague in his sleep. By the time the plague finished its rampage approximately 3/4 of the village was killed by the plague and the village was soon abandoned by the survivors. At this point Konrad reached out to his brother and at his brothers insistence Konrad went to join the Outriders, however shortly after Konrad finished his training his brother was sent on a mission and hasn’t returned since. Suffering from such extensive loss in his life in such short order he stayed with the outriders some of the only family he had and hoped he would be able to find his brother. He went on several patrols and on one of his more recent ones he was critically injured and while recovering received his cryo vision.
