A Thrro wizard with a well-loved appearance, from the Royal Union of Albia, Galon and Wanil, more specifically Albia. Seems to have some connections to the city of Bridgeston, which their full name, "Sooty McCoy", seems to confirm. They joined the Liwilai Adventurer's Guild in order to look for their owner, a girl called Selene.
Recent revelations from the Midnight Sun looking into his past revealed several concerning facts; namely that Sooty's memories had apparently been altered without him knowing. As such, he apparently visited the Mages' College of Bridgeston, together with Selene... and on the day when Selene went missing, both of them went inside, but only Sooty came out; escorted by Baroness Lucinda McCoy and Baron Hillard McCoy.
A return to Bridgeston, as well as a adventure in the Medweda Empire revealed the full truth; Selene took her life to protect her family, and the Baron and Baroness locked away Sooty's memories; partially out of personal shame of what happened, partially because they believed that he wouldn't be able to deal with the truth. Additionally, an archfey called Nuferos took a hold of her soul.
Sooty left the party to go after a clue he found on both of them, writing a letter to the party that he wasn't sure when, or if, he would be able to return to them in a timely manner, especially since a trip to The Feywild was involved.
